Tecbond 5 is a specialist woodworking and carpentry adhesive. It is low viscosity, and so penetrates the wood and sets with minimal excess, to deliver a tight bond between the parts. The low viscosity also gives higher glue gun output, which means less effort on the trigger.
Tecbond Hot Melt Glue Sticks
Tecbond Hot Melt Glue Sticks are 100% solid, non-toxic adhesives containing no solvents, VOCs or water. Forget about odours or mould in finished products, or about paying for a solvent that just evaporates. Tecbond hot melt adhesives are safe and easy to store, and have a virtually unlimited shelf life.
The molten adhesive is applied to one of the surfaces to be bonded. When the parts are pressed together the heat quickly dissipates into the substrates, which solidifies the adhesive, and a bond or seal is made instantly.
Working times vary from just a few seconds to several minutes: the actual time will depend on adhesive formulation, ambient temperature, substrate temperature, and the amount and configuration of the adhesive applied.
They have excellent adhesion to most materials, including wood, ceramics, light gauge metals and many plastics, such as rigid PVC, polystyrene, ABS and acrylic.
