The Megaton Vortex is one of the most compact horizonal cyclone separators designed for 4 ducting. Multi parallel vortex streams are generated by vanes at the intake, spinning the debris towards the outside of the cyclone while the clean air is exhausted from the centre.
Any extractor with nominal 4 ducting can be connected to the Megaton Vortex. They will all experience the efficiency gains of reduced filter caking and increased airflow over time.
There are no filters inside the Megaton Vortex the dust is removed solely through cyclonic action. Only a tiny fraction of the material makes it through the cyclone to be caught in your vacuums filter, massively reducing the number of times you need to clean it out.
A filter caked with dust will increase resistance to the airflow and can significantly reduce suction. The Megaton Vortex removes the dust before it even gets to the vacuum. When your filter is not getting blocked up, the vacuum will continue to run at full air velocity for much longer.
The Megaton Vortex can be mounted to a wide range of strong collection containers, so emptying the dust is as easy as removing the lid and dumping the contents.
