Pure Tough is a low viscosity, self-levelling, and solvent free coating resin designed as a hard-wearing top coat for timber, furniture, or art applications. Pure Tough Coating Resin achieves a high build in a single coat and provides an extremely durable, scratch resistant finish.
Solvent free
Easy to pour and spread
Excellent abrasion and scratch resistance
Low temperature cure
Heat resistance over 150C
Pure Tough Coating Resin is designed to be applied by pouring or spreading to achieve a high build. Apply via brush or spreader. Material can be applied thinly via roller however multiple coatings will be required to achieve the desired result. Substrates should be thoroughly sanded or ground to provide a keyed surface.
When working with timber multiple coats will need to be applied, as the first coat will only act to seal the timber. Some timbers may have rejection issues with natural oils, so between coats wipe down with metho then sand. After sanding, use a fresh towel to wipe down with metho again before the next layer.
Please note that Pure Tough Coating Resin is not suitable for exterior or direct sunlight applications (must be screened by glass). Do not apply butane torches, heat guns only.

Health of Mind Art was founded by former AFL player Dayne Beams. He recalls: In June 2019 I was admitted into a rehab facility for a gambling and drug addiction that was controlling my life and ultimately having a huge impact on my mental health and part of the alternative forms of therapy was art therapy, the first time I spent in the art room I fell in love and had all of a sudden found something that was so beneficial for my mind. It was this humble beginning, combined with a lack of satisfaction with the quality of resins available, that lead Dayne to found Health of Mind Art.
