The 18V LXT Brushless Cordless 2-Pc. Combo Kit (5.0Ah) combines the 18V LXT Brushless Quick-Shift Mode 3-Speed Impact Driver (XDT14) and the 36V (18V X2) LXT Brushless Rear Handle 7-1/4″ Circular Saw (XSR01) to provide sawing and fastening solutions over a wide range of applications.

The XDT14 features a powerful Makita-built BL Brushless Motor that delivers 3,600 Max RPM and 1,550 in.lbs. of Max Torque. It also features Quick-Shift Mode which uses the brushless motors electronic controls to find the best balance of speed and torque for each application for more efficient fastening. The 3-speed power selection switch (0-1,100 / 0-2,100 / 0-3,600 RPM & 0-1,100 / 0-2,600 / 0-3,800 IPM) provides precise fastening control for a wide range of applications.

The XSR01 features a Makita-built electronically controlled brushless motor that delivers 5,100 RPM for maximum performance and 50% longer run time per charge. The X2 LXT technology delivers up to 558 cross-cuts per charge in 2×4 SPF lumber and up to 291 cross-cuts per charge in 2×10 SPF lumber using two 5.0Ah batteries. It also features Automatic Speed Change technology which adjusts the cutting speed and torque during cuts for optimum performance.

For improved tool performance and extended battery life, Makita created Star Protection Computer Controls. Star Protection is a communication technology that allows the Star Protection-equipped tool and battery to exchange data in real time and monitor conditions during use to protect against overloading, over-discharging and overheating. For increased versatility, the tool can also be powered by Makita 18V LXT and Compact Lithium-Ion batteries with the star symbol on the battery indicating Star Protection inside.
