The awl is 135mm long overall with a handle of 27.5mm diameter at its widest point the perfect size and shape for holding in the palm of your hand or with a pencil grip.

The polished handle is turned from gidgee and meets the brass ferrule with an almost imperceptible join. The 4mm diameter HSS shank comes to a graceful and very sharp point, and is hard enough to mark most metals as well as any timber, resin, or plastic.
