The Sherwood SOB-6-X-110 delivers a large sanding surface combined with an oscillating belt and a large precision-ground cast-iron table for efficient edge-sanding. There is plenty of power on tap: the belt is direct driven by a high-torque 2HP four-pole induction motor, which make it almost impossible to bog down.
The edge-sanding table is handwheel-controlled for vertical adjustment and angle sanding is much easier to manage since the sanding belt tilts instead of the table. And when the sander is flipped to face upwards the fence can be extended over the sander to give you the ultimate level of control over your workpiece.
The sander can be fitted with the extra end table to become a spindle-style sander and allow inside curves to be sanded. Three spindles are included: 76mm, 52mm, and 40mm. This extra capability means that the SOB-6-X-110 replaces your oscillating spindle sander, saving your precious workshop floor space!.
The whole unit sits on top of a steel cabinet that provides a safe space to store your end table and spindles. Excellent dust control is achieved through the two 4in dust ports connected to close-fitting dust manifolds at either end of the belt.
